The performance is completely based on the actress’ body, therefore only essential technologies are required: an audio support (with two independent audio channels), two 1000w spotlights and a stage (5m x 7m, minimum measurements).
Figura Humana is a Trilogy and the result of a 6-month study carried out in Szeged, Berlin, Milan and Gena from June 2015 to January 2016. The trilogy is divided into: I. Achamoth, II. Ophelia Naked, III. Oiran.
Starting from a technique of Stanislavski’s tradition, the duo Simioni-Pellegrino brings on stage a theatrical action centered on the figure of the Woman, which is depicted in three different aspects: the metaphysical, the historical and the human. The main idea that brings together these three aspects of the feminine is the search for self-identity and freedom. This new search, conceived in the wake of a much wider project – EuAct –, wishes to create a dramatic code, in which the actor or actress’ body language together with the dramaturgic structure of the play overcome the narrative dimension embracing the rules of the poetical language: so that the actor or actress, who has always studied under the influence of Stanislavski’s tradition, could be able to ideally grasp the codes, the contents and the aesthetics of the Oriental theatre, paying particular attention to the Japanese Bunraku.
IACHAMOTH from Hans Jonas Sophia, the last of the celestial aeons, commits a sin of love…her audacity turns into madness... she falls down below...outside the Pleroma. She generates matter and gives life to a monstrous fetus which is mad of pride and malice.
IIOPHELIA NAKED from Heiner Müller, Giorgio Manacorda, William Shakespeare, Giorgio de Santillana and Hertha von Dechend Ophelia she who the river could not hold… Ophelia waits for the catastrophe...rising again, she violates the laws of the god of this world...she carries alone the weight of prostitution in order to free the dead women, and give them the knowledge of what they suffered...Ophelia naked dams him without pronouncing his name...she experienced death by water due to a Hamlet and now she waits for another Hamlet, the non-destroyer...Ophelia is Hamlet and it drives her crazy...crazy again, awaiting...and she announces the return of the Stranger, from the edge of the maelstrom provoked by a sunken mill...

Alessia Pellegrino is the most experienced actress and coach of Simioni’s acting method, which is directly influenced by the Stanislavskij system. They have been working together for three years introducing their methodological work and performing in Cinecittà, at the Cultural Year Hungary-Italy 2013, at the Academy of Hungary in Rome, at the Italian Institute in Budapest, and at Teatro Sociale di Como.
